The chasm between fan and player has become so large as to become irrelevant. I really don’t give a crap about any of the players — it’s not about THEM. The relevant and important aspect is about US — the fans, reacting with each other on Twitter, on blogs, in bars, at the water cooler. The death of the interview just underscores how absolutely irrelevant the players and front office actually are.
